<p>Much  of the&nbsp; food we eat  is very acidic. I received a question  regarding  coffee and meat specifically.</p>
<p>&nbsp;First, let me go back and explain  the ph level of human blood. The ph  level range is  from 0 to 14 with 7 right in the middle. Any number  above 7 is alkaline, getting more so as it gets to 14. On the acidic  side, the lower the number, the more acidic it is.</p>
<p>The human blood ph level is 7.35 to 7.45, decidedly on the alkaline  side of the equation. When there  happens to be too much acid  inside the food, the body  must  destroy it to  defend itself. It does this by  taking  calcium from the bones.</p>
<p>Therefore an acidic food like cow&rsquo;s milk in truth deprives the body  of calcium because of the neutralizing that occurs and the calcium in  the milk cannot actually be processed by the body.</p>
<p>Meat and coffee are both acidic , roughly the 3.0 ph level. If you are  going to  indulge yourself in acidic foods at times, you need to offset it with  lots of fresh greens, the most alkaline foods there are.</p>
<p>There are many factors in the <a title="www.hippocrateshealthlifestyle.com/" href="http://www.hippocrateshealthlifestyle.com/" target="_blank">Hippocrates Health  Institute</a> program that blend to help you into accelerated healing.   Eating a very alkaline diet and staying away from the acidic foods that we   may be tempted to eat is an important part of why it works so well.</p>
<p>A truly great question has prompted me to add  that those of you who are interested in  gaining an understanding of the science behind  these statements and learning a lot more  about why eating animal protein  weakens the bones: you  definitely need to  read The China Study by T. Colin  Campbell. On page 205 he discusses  the  studies done to support this.</p>
<p>But the entire  book, The China Study, is the product  of  some  decades of  studies done in China that  showed beyond all  doubt, at  least for me and many others, that meat and dairy are very unhealthy for  our bodies.</p></p>

If you are like many people, you no doubt have been on a number of diets or weight loss programs over the years. And if you are like many people you have not been successful at keeping the weight permanently off. Somehow it keeps coming back! However, some of the simple things we should be doing on a regular basis can help us maintain our desired weight. For example: walking. A simple activity such as walking each day can have tremendous results and it is a great way to achieve <A HREF="http://healthy-weight-loss-programs.net/10/healthy-weight-loss/">healthy weight loss</A>.<br />

Some of us may discover too late in life how important walking is. But then it is better late than never. I discovered the walking and weight loss connection while I was a student in college. Most freshman college students gain between twenty and thirty pounds in their first year at school. For the first time in many students&#8217; lives, they have to make their own decisions about eating and exercise. Many students&#8217; walking program consists of walking from the dormitory to the classroom and back.<br />
<P><br />
When I started walking I wasn&#8217;t aware that one should have some sort of plan to follow. I was one of the students who had no real walking program. I didn&#8217;t make the connection between walking and weight loss right away. I wound up gaining twenty-five pounds in the first semester of college, but I didn&#8217;t realize that I needed to connect walking and weight loss until I tried dieting.<br />
<P><br />
Sometimes we cannot see the trees because of the forest. It is right in front of us but we can&#8217;t see. Before I started a walking program in school, the idea of walking and <B>weight loss</B> being so closely tied together did not occur to me. Instead, I tried changing my diet. I ate salads at nearly every meal. I had no breakfast and I did not really have a whole meal until the evening. I probably only took in about nine hundred calories each day, but I did not see very good results. I had to think back to a time when I was fit to make the walking and weight loss connection.<br />
<P><br />
I&#8217;m sure some of you know how it feels to be over-weight. It certainly is not the best feeling one can have. Our self esteem can be affected and more problems result. I was a heavy student in high school and I dieted a lot. One diet was very successful for me during the end of my high school career. I was involved in an after school program that I attended every day. Since I could not ride the bus home from school, I simply walked the two mile commute home five days a week. I did not consider this an actual walking program, but it really was. The only differences between my lifestyle in high school and in college were that I ate more and I walked almost every day.<br />
<P><br />
Sometimes it takes awhile for us to make connections with the things we do. Sometimes we even fail to make any connections. However, once I made the walking and <A HREF="http://healthy-weight-loss-programs.com/10/natural-weight-loss/">natural weight loss</A> connection, the rest was easy. I just started a simple walking program that consisted of taking a relaxing walk at least three times each week. I did not really worry about dieting, but I made sure to eat breakfast and to eat small meals throughout the day. I also avoided eating after eight o&#8217;clock in the evening. Within a few weeks, I found myself proving the walking and weight loss connection. I lost the twenty five pounds. A simple walking program can be tremendously effective to help you lose weight. Of course, as with any program, you must stick with it. Now get out there and start walking!<br />

It would be easy to believe that the global weight problem was just consigned to the adult population but that would be a lie with a frightening number of children who are just starting school having a weight problem. Eventually a decision to do something about the excess weight must be made and those that are serious about it will finally realize that you cannot employ short term methods. Losing weight should be viewed as a long term health benefit and the use of <B>weight loss</B> pills to help accelerate the process is not necessarily the best course of action.

These drugs usually work buy telling the brain it is no longer hungry and stimulating the metabolic rate to aid the shedding of calories. The problem arose when it was found after studies that one of the side effects from this type of drug was the increased risk of heart valve disease and of course it was quickly withdrawn from use. Not to be defeated though, manufacturers have introduced updated drugs, prescribed by doctors but the FDA approval process is slow.
<P>
These weight loss pills have become popular and you can almost guarantee that you will be aware of someone who has tried them with success. The idea that a simple drug can change everything without the need to change the diet or sacrificing anything is very tempting. As a consequence, drug companies spend millions of dollars in research on <B>weight loss pill</B>s while consumers spend even more to buy the pills.
<P><B>
Weight loss pills</B> can be purchased either over-the-counter or prescribed by a doctor but even with the advances in medical technology, these drugs can still cause a lot of health related problems which can be unpleasant such as diarrhea and vomiting. Other harmful side effects such as tightness in the chest and urinary tract problems and fatal such as a stroke and an overdose of the diet pills can cause tremors, confusion, hallucinations, shallow breathing, renal failure even heart attack and convulsions.
<P>
The best course of action before taking any type of pill is to check with your doctor as there are many factors that could contribute to any problems you experience but it does not stop even when you cease taking the pills. These effects can be equally unpleasant in the same way that weight control pills are, like irritability, vomiting, depression, fatigue and insomnia to name only a few of the reported conditions.
<P>
Despite all the bad publicity, weight loss pills do work but there is a better chance if they are used in conjunction with a low calorie diet and regular exercise, preferably using a properly worked out exercise regime. A low calorie diet would consist of meals that contain vitamins, minerals and fiber which are all essential for good health; the best source is fruit and vegetables.

Fast-track diets are one of these <B>fast weight loss</B> practices which may not be as inviting as they seem according to research. As the old saying goes the easier it comes, the easier it goes and this is especially relevant for fast weight loss programs.

The research shows that people that are on these special low calorie / carbohydrate diets become bored with them which is quite natural and end up going back to their old eating habits quite quickly. The truth of the mater is that any given plan may help you lose weight, but is it healthy and does it sustain your weight loss?<br />

Those who have used this diet successfully say it is important to follow the instructions. First of all you need to use organic apple cider vinegar. Normal vinegars such as malt vinegar although they may aid the weight loss process are generally considered to be too acidic and also lack some of the trace elements commonly found in apple cider vinegar. The simple recipe is to drink diluted apple cider vinegar approximately 20 minutes before each meal. If you find the taste difficult to get used to then it is acceptable to add a small amount of honey making it a more palatable drink.<br />

Could this particular method actually be classed as a fad diet? To be a fad it has to be something that is popular and used by many. No matter what you call it, some have found success with it, whether it is a <B>healthy weight loss</B> plan or not. Unfortunately nobody really knows for certain why the apple cider vinegar works to help you to lose weight. There are however three explanations that are considered to be credible and have some scientific basis. Vinegar promotes and enhances the body&#8217;s own natural potential to dispose of excess fat by allowing a given expenditure of energy to burn more calories than it otherwise would have, thus reducing the number of calories that are stored as fat and enabling the body to lose weight. The extra acidity temporarily created in the stomach and other parts of the digestive system help to make the subsequent intake of food more digestible thereby leading to a more rapid passage through the bowel.<br />

Could the mixture really be as simple as nothing more than an appetite depressant? Drinking the cider vinegar 20 minutes before the meal acts as an appetite suppressant. This small reduction in food intake along with the other benefits mentioned can result in an improvement in the body&#8217;s ability to lose weight. But you need to be aware that this is not a lose weight quick program, and as I mentioned, I&#8217;m not sure it is even a <B>healthy weight loss</B> plan. It invariably takes at least a month before any tangible results will be noticed. In fact any noticeable effectiveness of the diet is often not realized until the 3rd month.<br />

Personally, I would certainly not categorize this as a <A HREF="http://healthy-weight-loss-programs.com/11/healthy-weight-loss-4/">healthy weight loss </A>plan. There are any number of plans that will help you lose weight, but you have to use common sense. It goes without saying that whilst embarking on the diet it is not sufficient to just rely on the cider vinegar to lose weight, it is vital to change your eating habits so that when you have reached your target weight you don&#8217;t revert back to your old ways and put the weight straight back on.<br />

The only problem for so many people is taking action to shed those unwanted pounds. Even though we know the possible end result of being overweight, it can be simply too difficult to become motivated. It doesn&#8217;t make sense but I suppose it can be attributed to human nature. Sometimes we simply are lazy, even when we know we must take action we fail to do so.<br />

Keeping in mind that some people are comfortable being over weight, it still does not lessen the likelihood that they will develop health problems. Personally I hate being overweight. Even a few extra pounds can make me feel uncomfortable and lethargic, and so I immediately get to work and get those pounds off before they become a permanent fixture. Consequently I find it very difficult to understand why other people allow themselves to get overweight in the first place. There are of course many, many reasons from metabolic problems to stress and unhappiness, but somehow being overweight would seem to be adding to those problems not making them any better. The number of children registering for sports teams seems to be decreasing. The level of physical activity of young people is being replaced by computer games. Confused by all the information on the internet? Everyone has the latest and greatest ways to diet. Weight Loss is becoming a massive industry, not only for the health services around the world but also for &#8220;big business&#8221;. The &#8220;average Joe&#8221; who thinks they will jump on the latest bandwagon to make some money. Unfortunately due to the fact that there are many fad diets out there that promise unrealistic results, many desperate dieters will find themselves constantly moving from one diet to another to find the one that offers then lasting success.<br />
<P><br />
Are you a <B>weight loss </B>yoyo-er? Do you lose weight only to put it back on again time after time? Perhaps you even put more weight on than before and your weight is gradually creeping up higher and higher and you don&#8217;t know what to do about it. Well it may help you to know that you are not alone in this and weight loss yoyo-ers are on the increase.<br />
<P><br />
Once you get into the cycle of weight off &#8211; weight on, your body, not surprisingly, becomes confused. Once upon a time your body had a set point, a weight that was the norm for you. With repeated weight gain followed by weight loss followed by weight gain etc etc,  your body is constantly changing that set point until it is at a higher rate than you would like it to be. It can then be very difficult to attain the weight loss you so desire. Your body plateaus and any further weight loss seems like an impossibility. When this happens we often we get frustrated and disheartened and give up on the weight loss diet thinking it isn&#8217;t working. This inevitably results in our weight starting to increase once again to an unacceptable level.<br />

So what can you do to  re regulate your set point? First and foremost, it is important to realize that you are going to have to be far more persistent in your approach to weight loss. One of the reasons you find it difficult to sustain your weight loss is because your adrenal glands have become exhausted. Very often when you have been on a <B>weight loss</B> diet  month after month, perhaps not following a well structured diet, maybe cutting calories or missing meals or eating too many carbohydrates, your body is constantly in a fight or flight state. This situation will inevitably leave you tired confusing your metabolism and encouraging it to turn to stimulants such as tea, coffee, and diet drinks as a pick me up to compensate for what may well have been an energy deficient diet. Unfortunately this just activates the sympathetic nervous system to release more stress hormones which in turn requires more stimulants and so the cycle goes on and weight loss becomes less and less likely. This vicious circle can be almost impossible to break without professional help.<br />
<P><br />
In my experience people who have been on a &#8220;not so healthy&#8221; <B>weight loss</B> diet will inevitably have lost some muscle as well as fat. As muscle burns energy this will not help your weight loss regime as a decreased muscle mass means a lower metabolic rate. Yet another vicious cycle your body has to find a way to break. This increases your chances gaining weight rather than losing weight and so the yoyo effect continues.<br />
<P><br />
As I said at the beginning of this article, the weight loss industry is big business and it is not in their interest for you to lose weight forever. This may be a hard pill to swallow, but sadly it is true. If everybody lost weight easily and permanently there would be no weight loss industry and many people would be out of a job. If you want to know if your weight loss plan is a good one then it needs to have a good scientific explanation so that you are certain it is going to work to not only help you to lose weight but also the gain health. If it sounds amazing, maybe too good to be true, then it is probably a fad diet that will do nothing to help you to achieve permanent weight loss<br />
<P><br />
Weight loss is a serious issue. It is not something to &#8220;play&#8221; with. Your future health is dependant on you losing weight so take your diet seriously. If weight loss has been an issue for you for many years then it would be advisable to get the advice and support of a professional weight loss coach who can monitor your progress.<br />
<P><br />
You need to be patient and remember it has probably taken you many years to become over weight particularly if you have been a weight loss yoyo-er, so it is likely take time to crack the cycle and achieve permanent weight loss. Remember also that tackling your weight loss problem also means that you are improving your overall health.<br />

<A HREF="http://healthy-weight-loss-programs.com">Weight loss</A> has certainly become &#8220;big business&#8221; over the last few years. The amount of money spent on exercise equipment, diets and weight loss programs is steadily climbing.  Today, weight loss is such a high profile subject that new research is coming out on a daily basis. However it is always worth finding out who has funded the research, as an impartial approach is essential if we are to receive a truthful outcome. I&#8217;m sure you are aware of the fact that sometimes research can be very biased depending on who does and most importantly who pays for it.<br />
<P><br />
Health related industries and professionals are constantly experimenting to find out the best way for us to maintain a healthy weight. Recently research has found that with all three macronutrients &#8211; protein, carbs or fat &#8211; daily calorie intake was significantly greater when the beverage form was consumed as compared to the solid. Apparently the protein drinks did not satisfy the appetite the way that protein foods did! So <B>weight loss</B> is not necessary guaranteed with these liquids meal replacements.<br />
<P><br />
This particular finding was a surprise for many who work in the weight loss industry. It was thought that protein drinks would be an effective part of a <B>weight loss</B> regime, mainly because protein foods have been proven to reduce appetite and increase satiety. However if you convert solid protein into a protein drink, it loses it&#8217;s appetite suppressive properties. A similar thing happens when you turn fruit into fruit juice.<br />
<P><br />
Many people are not aware of the findings related to these protein meal replacement drinks. Most time people just hear what these companies want us to hear through their mass media campaigns. Looking at the available research, there are at least 7 scientific studies that have provided strong evidence that energy containing beverages (i.e., &#8220;liquid calories&#8221;) do not properly activate the satiety mechanisms in the body and brain and do not satisfy the appetite as well as food in solid form. Having tried them myself I can vouch for the fact that the drinks left me with a feeling of just being full of liquid. Not satisfying at all. However if I mixed the powder with a food such as yoghurt and a banana, the satiety value increased significantly and I did go on to lose weight.<br />
<P><br />
I have done some research on my own and found out the following facts related to the lack of satiety value of the liquid calories:<BR><br />
1. high calorie density<BR><br />
2. lower satiety value<BR><br />
3. more calories ingested in short period of time<BR><br />
4. lower demand for oral processing<BR><br />
5. shorter gastrointestinal transit times<BR><br />
6. energy in beverages has greater bioaccessibility and bioavailability<BR><br />
7. mechanisms may include cognitive, orosensory, digestive, metabolic, endocrine and neural influences ( proving that the human appetite is a complex thing!!!)<BR><br />
8. last but not least, nowhere in our history have our ancestors had access to large amounts of liquid calories, even of the protein variety.<br />
<P><br />
As strange as it may seem, our bodies cannot properly register the caloric content in liquids the way we do when we eat, chew and swallow whole foods. As with many &#8220;nouveau foods&#8221; that appear on our supermarket shelves, our genetic code has never developed the physiological mechanisms needed to deal with these foods. Bottom line: This study suggests that if you&#8217;re trying to beat body fat,(<B>weight loss</B>) it&#8217;s wise to limit all types of liquid calories and eat whole foods as much as possible, so that the body can process the food in the best way it knows how.<br />
<P><br />
What liquids we drink are an important part of any weight loss program. With regard to liquid beverages apart from the protein drinks, if you really want to achieve successful weight loss, start by removing the soda and other fizzy drinks from your diet. Then get rid of the high calorie dessert coffees. Apart from anything else coffee plays havoc with your metabolism. Then cut back on the alcohol, another high calorie stimulant that your body can well do without. From there, be cautious even about milk, juice and especially protein drinks, that may be the mainstay  of your <B>weight loss</B> diet. Drink water or herb teas instead, or limited amounts of black coffee or tea &#8211; without all the high calorie extras.<br />
<P><br />
Knowing the amount of calories in the foods and drinks we consume is a very important, yet tedious, part of our attempts at weight loss. It is worth remembering that if you do consume any beverages that contain calories, such as protein shakes, be sure to account for those calories meticulously and be sure you don&#8217;t drink them in addition to your usual food intake, but in place of an equal amount of food calories. Protein shakes are intended to be &#8220;meal replacements&#8221; not &#8220;free calories!&#8221;<br />
<P><br />
One of the main goals in any weight loss program has to be a change in our eating habits, as this most likely is the reason we have put on the extra weight. Can you imagine what life would be like if we all liked the same things? Thankfully we are all unique individuals and just as we have different tastes, talents and attitudes so we also have different body types. Your body type is a scientific classification of your overall body shape, and and it is determined by a combination of certain physical characteristics. Your genes determine your body type therefore, your body shape will develop from birth to adulthood. Body types can never be changed and no matter what type you possess, you can still achieve weight loss relatively quickly with the correct choices of food and tactics for <B>weight loss </B>or weight control.<br />
<P><br />
Scientists in the health field have developed a classification system for the different body types. There are three basic body types for male and female are: Endomorph, Ectomorph and Mesomorph.<br />
<P><br />
The first body type is called endomorphs. These people are naturally big boned and have such characteristics as a round face, a soft and flabby body in general, wide hips, bigger waist, slow metabolism and high number of fat cells. This type usually finds weight loss a constant struggle.<br />
<P><br />
The second body type is the ectomorphs. This type of person is considered thin with a linear appearance, small muscles, ultra fast metabolism, low body fat, narrow shoulders, hips and waist. Doesn&#8217;t usually have to worry about weight loss.<br />
<P><br />
The third body type is mesomorphs. This type is a naturally muscular person with wide shoulders, small waist, athletic build, low body fat percentage with an increase metabolism.<br />
<P><br />
So now you look at your body and are thinking you have characteristics from more than one category. In reality you may actually have some characteristics from more than one category. This may well be true as it is extremely rare for an individual to display all of characteristics for their body type. We all display some characteristics from each body type, although one type will usually dominate. It is the dominant type of characteristics which determine the actual body types assigned to us.<br />
<P><br />
Regardless of the body type we may have, if we want to achieve weight loss we need to create a negative energy balance or a calorie deficit. The number of calories we cut from our intake needs to be sufficient enough in order to see some results fairly quickly. So if we begin a new diet by cutting our calorie intake by about 500 per day we will lose weight over the course of a week or two. However just cutting calories is now not deemed to be a sensible way to approach <B>weight loss</B><br />
<P><br />
What happens to our bodies when we go on a weight loss program and begin to cut our calorie intake by eating less? During a calorie deficit our bodies still require the same amount of energy so they start to use up energy stores to make up for this 500 calorie deficit. However, as our bodies inevitably use up extra proteins for energy AND to maintain normal protein synthesis, we end up with a net loss of total protein. This results in a gradual loss of lean muscle, and this is the start of a lowered metabolism and consequently a slower <B>weight loss</B><br />
<P><br />
As we begin to lose weight we may be discouraged when we look in the mirror. Muscle loss may not be obvious because the body will take it from other, less priority areas and not just from our skeletal muscles. The stomach is a classic area where protein is broken down for use, as there&#8217;s less need for a large stomach capacity because we have lowered our food intake. Ever noticed how we can no longer eat those big meals we once used to eat before dieting?<br />
<P><br />
It would appear therefore that although you may need to cut down on the amount of food you eat, it is vitally important you don&#8217;t drastically cut your calories as you may be doing your body and your weight loss more harm than good<br />

Those of us who have ever tried to follow a weight loss program know how difficult it can be. It takes lots of dedication and perseverance. Sometimes we can end up back where we started or worst still even putting on a few more pounds. Here are some suggestions to help you to lose a few pounds without losing interest.<br />
<P><br />
1) One thing you don&#8217;t want to do is give up your favorite foods completely. Cutting out all the foods that you love can be a difficult thing to do so try to eat lower calorie versions of them. Go for the low fat and low sugar versions and make sure the low fat version isn&#8217;t loaded with sugar. You also need to make sure that the low sugar version hasn&#8217;t had the sugar replaced with sweeteners as this can be even worse if <B>weight loss</B> is your goal.<br />
<P><br />
2) This is a must! You must not eat too much when you have a meal. Are your portion sizes  far too big? The larger the portions the more calories you are consuming and more calories means the likelihood of a few extra pounds every so often. Try putting your food on a smaller plate.<br />
<P><br />
3) Most of us hate exercise but it is a necessity. Never think of exercise as being exercise. Instead, look at it in a different way. If you don&#8217;t like the idea of exercise then just go walking whenever you can. Walking is a great form of exercise and many people don&#8217;t class it as exercise. You can also try to go up and down stairs more often or maybe get outside and do some gardening. Your <B>weight loss</B> will be enhanced when you embark on some exercises so don&#8217;t ignore this important part of your regime.<br />

4) During any weight loss program we have to reduce the number of calories we take in. Because of this, weight loss diets can easily feel like you are denying yourself  foods. Instead of thinking this way add new foods to your diet such as interesting fruits and vegetables. When people think of diets they think of having to go without, but, in this case you are adding instead of taking away.<br />

5) Water should be an important part of your weight loss plan. Before your main meal drink one or two glasses of water at least 25 minutes before you plan to sit down to eat. This will help you to feel full and therefore you will eat less<br />

Probably the most important thing to keep in mind is to be patient when it comes to achieving your weight loss. Don&#8217;t try to lose too much weight all at once and realize that once you have lost the weight you will have to keep up with your healthier lifestyle to ensure you don&#8217;t put it all back on.<br />

While it may have taken years to put unwanted pounds on our bodies, we want that extra weight to come off overnight. How many times have you tried to lose weight and wanted to see results immediately?  Safe and effective weight loss takes time. It took years to put on the extra weight but when we want to get rid of it we think it can be done quickly. It would be nice but it just doesn&#8217;t work that way. To have safe and sustained weight loss you must be patient. Patience is a very important part of any <a href="http://healthy-weight-loss-programs.com">weight loss </a>plan. Without it, many people become discouraged and will give up because the weight loss is not happening fast enough for them. It&#8217;s almost a characteristic today&#8217;s society, we want everything right now!<br />

It is better to choose the right sort of exercise for your own personal needs especially when trying to lose weight. It does not have to be an extreme exercise program. You don&#8217;t even have to join a gym. But you do need to get more physically active. If you have been inactive for years it may be very challenging for you to begin some sort of exercise regime. But if you want to be successful then you will have to make time to exercise, even if to begin with it is just walking around the block a few times each day. Just get busy!<br />

You don&#8217;t want weight loss to happen too fast or you&#8217;ll end up quitting. Why? Because a fast drop in weight is usually folowed by an even bigger gain. To achieve lasting <B>weight loss</B> you must be patient.  Change your eating habits and search out those healthy new foods that are good for you. Finally, get active. Remember to lose weight you have to burn more calories than you eat. Put all three together and you will have a better chance of weight loss over a long term.<br />

How do you know which one will be the right one for you?  With so many to choose from it can be a difficult decision. Which ever one you opt for, make it work for you!<br />

When we have to lose weight it is something that will constantly be on your mind. Just how am I ever going to lose weight? Many people think about it and just as many do nothing about it. It seems to have become more fashionable now to be overweight. Having meat on your bones seems to be the in thing. My goal was not to be skinny but to be a comfortable weight where I felt good, and looked OK in my clothes. The look of Twiggy back in the days gone by was not my taste and certainly isn&#8217;t the right look for most of us.<br />
<P><br />
In most circles the pendulum has swung back the other way. With so much medical evidence on the harmful effects of being overweight we are becoming more conscious of our bodies and what we have to do to stay healthy. There are many products on the market that will  help us achieve <B>weight loss</B>. Choose one that tastes good so you will be more inclined to use it. There are a number of companies with shakes that are delicious. I tried one that tasted so good I use it as a treat in stead of to Lose Weight. They are usually a meal replacement. That cuts out a lot of calories for the day, but more importantly gives you the correct amount of protein needed to help you to build lean muscle and lose fat.<br />
<P><br />
Once you have chosen a particular <B>weight loss</B> program, it would be a good idea to also think about what exercise program you would like to get involved in. Without exercise, to lose weight would probably be unattractive. You need to strengthen the muscle to keep the skin from sagging. If money is not a problem you can join a gym and get a trainer to help you. If you can’t afford that luxury, don’t get discouraged. Many people have lost weight without the help of either. I like the Classical Stretch program that I have found on TV. It tightens and lengthens muscles, making you firm. In addition to those benefits, you can also gain some height. I gained a ½ an inch and some have gained an inch. It also improves balance which is beneficial.<br />
<P><br />
Another good tip for those of us on the road to weight loss is to set some goals. Having goals is a tremendous incentive for anyone who is trying to lose weight and firm up. You will look better and feel better as well. Once you are down to your target weight you may want to reward yourself with something, perhaps a new item of clothes to celebrate your new shape. This may also give you the incentive to enjoy being slim and therefore to keep the weight off.</p>

Emotional eating has been described by some health officials as eating for reasons other than being hungry. We all know when we are hungry because the body gives us physical indications that we need to eat. What occurs with emotional eating is that our emotions are the triggering factor that cause us to eat, not hunger itself. In effect, we are not even hungry and do not have the physical symptoms of hunger, but yet we eat. And we usually overeat! Our emotions are the cause of our eating. And it usually occurs when something is bothering us, or occasionally even when we feel good about something. The distinguishing factor is that we are not hungry physically.<br />
<P><br />
Do we even know when our eating is related to our emotions? Most likely we are aware, but we are also aware that something is not quite right because we are eating and not really hungry. Something is on our mind and we turn to food to help us deal with it. Sometimes we may not want to address what is the cause of our worry which has lead us to the eating, hoping that we will feel better after some food. And we may well feel better, but it is usually short lived, and then our emotions take over again. If we do not deal with our problem or problems the pattern will continue. It&#8217;s not difficult to see how emotional eating is a major roadblock for people wanting to achieve <B>weight loss</B>.<br />
<P><br />
If you are attempting to restrict your food intake with the hope of weight loss, maybe we should look at some of the signs of emotional eating. The most obvious sign is that you are eating when your not hungry, and you may have a craving for a particular kind of food, a food that is usually high in calories. Also, emotional eating makes us feel like the &#8220;hunger&#8221; has to be dealt with immediately with the specific food you are craving. Furthermore, emotional eating may leave you with a feeling of guilt because we know that what we have just done is not good for us. We may have some temporary satisfaction but it is short lived. It is a difficult circle to break but if <B>weight loss</B> is your goal the problem has to be addressed.<br />
<P><br />
If you are aware of the problem of emotional eating and want to overcome it to help you achieve weight loss, there are little things you can do to help. One trick is to drink more water. It fills you up and if you have some before you dig into the food you crave it may help you reduce the amount of food you eat. Another tip is to try and eat some healthy snacks. Be creative with some fruits or vegetables. You&#8217;ll be surprised what you can do and how good they can taste. Another helpful tipis to become more active. When you have that urge to eat go for a walk or try any type of exercise. It&#8217;ll take your mind of eating and help you burn some calories. Keeping a written record can be extremely helpful when trying to conquer emotional eating. It makes you more aware of what you are eating, when you are eating  and why you are eating.  Probably one of the most important things you&#8217;ll have to do is to address the reasons causing you to eat when you are not even hungry. Deal with the problem and correct it. Sometimes this can be an unpleasant experience but it can be done. Do it. Emotional eating can be overcome and sustained <a href="http://healthy-weight-loss-programs.com/">weight loss</a> can be a reality for you.</p>

We probably know a few people personally that are considerably overweight. In fact, over 60% of the population in North America is considered to be overweight. Anybody who has had to seriously lose weight will have a story to tell. It is relatively easy to ascertain which are genuine and which are out right scams, especially if you know the right questions to ask.<br />
<P><br />
Have you heard the expression facts tell but stories sell. Why do you think most of the ads out there promoting any program to lose weight, always has a couple of compelling stories. <B>Weight loss</B> stories have an importance of their own in that they can inspire other people to lose weight. So in fact an honest weight loss story can save someone&#8217;s life and that&#8217;s not an exaggeration; it is a statement of fact. Many of these people have made huge sacrifices and life changes to achieve their goal and seeing their success in real terms is very helpful to others who are in a similar situation.<br />

It really boils down to using some common sense and striving for some balance in all the activities you will do for your success. weight loss success stories can easily inspire, but it is vital to keep in mind that you won&#8217;t achieve your target weight tomorrow, next week or next month. But every day that you stick to your plan and make changes to your eating habits, you are one day closer to your target and one day closer to a healthier you<br />

These companies love to tell the world about their successful clients, no doubt to make themselves look great but also to inspire everyday people to reach their goals. Absolutely anyone can achieve their weight loss goals, regardless of how much you weigh now. People have regained control of their life from all sorts of difficult circumstances, including weighing several hundred pounds! So there is no reason why you can&#8217;t follow on their footsteps. You have to believe in yourself and really want to lose weight. Remember the mind plays a very important role in any weight loss program.<br />

 The most important part once you have determined that it is safe to start the program is to take action. It is easy to be inspired by others weight loss success stories, but it isn&#8217;t always as easy to follow their example. Determination and self control will help you to achieve your dream of being slim. In the end its up to you.<br />
